Advance paragliders in the West Country

Sunday 21st July was a great day at Pandy and was perfect for some tandem flights. I think this was the first summer’s day that I’ve been to a hill without taking my solo glider, but I have no regrets about that…

First up were the WAGs, Ben’s girlfriend Pippa, followed by Declan’s girlfriend Patrina…

They both loved it! I handed over the controls to Jonathan for the next flight in which I didn’t allow him to leave a thermal until we’d got as high as possible to try to get over his fear of heights. We then went up the way up the ridge and back again… Lovely!

Finally Al took over and we had a pleasant soar before flying down to the landing field. I even got to try the in-flight catering…!

Of course, it was then time to retire to the Pandy Inn for a pint or two…

All in all a brilliant day!
